We’re looking for a Night Auditor to assist guests with their overnight requests and balance accounts
from the day shift.
The Night Auditor is responsible for check-in, check out, handling requests, and taking reservations. The
Night Auditor also reconciles all accounts and processes invoices. The ultimate goal is to provide
excellent guest service while keeping the front desk and accounting operations running smoothly.
Hotel experience is preferred but not necessary. We are looking for people who are excited to work in a
team committed to creating amazing experiences for our guests!
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Check-in and out guests, answer phones, and take reservations
- Reconcile accounts
- Investigate and resolve out-of-balance accounts
- Assures the front desk is covered and maintained at all times during the scheduled shift.
- Prepares for the arrival of guests by consistently reviewing special requests, organizing
paperwork, and setting up proper billing on the computer. - Ensures guests are greeted upon arrival and makes time to interact effectively with guests.
- Responds appropriately to guest complaints, solicits feedback, and builds relationships to drive
continuous improvement in guest satisfaction. - Responds and acts on guest complaints, service, or security problems.
- Provides information and acts as a resource of services to guests or hotel visitors by making
restaurant reservations/suggestions, giving directions, etc. - Correctly enters and validates guest information into a computer terminal.
- Runs reports and ensures correct information is in place and makes adjustments as needed.
- Posts and adjusts charges and information on all folios and accounts.
- Processes and ensures proper credit is received from hotel guests, checks the information
against reports. - Maintains a cash drawer.
- Receives and acknowledges reservation requests, cancellations, and changes.
- Distributes and logs mail, faxes, messages, or packages to registered guests or hotel personnel.
- Informs or checks with housekeeping on checkouts, vacancies, and service needs of guests.
- Communicate guest requests and issues to the proper departments.
Additional Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or if major in hospitality for college will be a plus.
- Must speak fluent English. Fluent in Spanish is an A-plus. Other languages preferred.
- Reading, writing, and basic math skills.
- Developed problem-solving skills.
- May be required to weekends and/or holidays.
- Must be able to demonstrate predictable, reliable, and timely attendance.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Basic knowledge of computers and software including the ability to use e-mail, word processing,
spreadsheet software, and hotel management system.
