Owner Lucille Bell opened her cozy boutique dance studio, Room 2 Dance, 7 years ago in the heart of Downtown Covina. Lucille grew up with a love and passion for dance, and has found a friendly, like-minded group of instructors to help her entertain a wide range of students. Room 2 Dance offers group classes, private lessons, and choreography lessons for weddings and other special events.
When visiting the studio, you will quickly notice the welcoming decor and the family-like feel of this small dance community. Students are exposed to multiple styles of social dance, from salsa to swing, foxtrot to waltz, and everything in between. In the mood to test out your new-found dance skills? Room 2 Dance also offers outings and field trips to different dance venues across Southern California, and hosts private events and socials at the studio as well. You’ll likely find Lucille and the girls cutting a rug at local dance spot, 3 Vinos, on salsa and bachata-themed nights.
Lucille has been inspired by dance for as long as she can remember, and getting the chance to share that inspiration with others brings her true joy. When Lucille is not dancing (which is rare), you can most likely find her working on a creative project while listening to her favorite type of music, Reggaeton. Do you love the movie Moulin Rouge? Or the TV show The People’s Court? So does Lucille! Lucille is a fan and frequent patron of the Downtown Covina area, and loves how it’s conveniently located between the 10 and 210 Freeways. Owning her own studio in Covina gives her the opportunity to meet new people, and allows her to provide happiness and inspire confidence in others. Also, it’s really FUN!
