Upper San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District Hosts Virtual Giveaway Program
Upper District is hosting a virtual giveaway program called Conserve-a-palooza, starting next Monday, October 18th. This is our second year holding Conserve-a-palooza as an alternative to our annual WaterFest in-person event.
Conserve-a-palooza is five weeks of fun water trivia and free conservation giveaways. To enter to win, participants will be required to answer trivia questions (about 5 conservation questions and any effort is welcomed and eligible) posted on Upper District’s social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn). Each week would be dedicated to a new topic, i.e. firescaping, mosquito abatement, water supply etc. Those who participate will be randomly selected to win prizes, among them are: high-efficiency washer machines, native plant vouchers, Armstrong gift cards, Rachio smart irrigation controllers, leak detection kits and other conservation swag.
Additionally, to increase community awareness about the current water supply conditions and share valuable information from other agencies, Upper District is excited to partner with the San Gabriel Valley Mosquito and Vector Control District and the Main San Gabriel Basin Watermaster. As an EPA WaterSense Partner, Upper District will incorporate WaterSense tips and water-saving resources for all to access.
